“What a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives haven’t even happened yet.”, Anne Frank. Just think about that for a moment. Let it sink in. It is a New Year! 2022. “. . . some of the best days of our lives haven’t even happened yet.” Truly a wonderful thought. I believe it to be very true. A very powerful thought if you are familiar with the life of Anne Frank. If you are not familiar with Anne Frank, read about her here.
I believe in Golden moments
Yes, a New Year. A cause for celebration. Why? We are forward looking and filled with optimism. It is the key to survival. Live in the moment and make them “Golden Moments.” What is a Golden Moment? You’d have to ask a Golden. A Golden Retriever, that is. I’m convinced the Golden’s mantra is, “Today is the best day of my life!” Our Golden, Bender aka Bentley Boss King aka B.B. King, knows this. Bender is a very cool Golden and lives each day as if it were the best day of his life! Let’s do the same – starting today, January 1. Make it a resolution.
We can learn from the Day Lily
Did you happen to notice the featured photo of Day Lilies? I like the photo for a number of reasons. First, the Lily is a very delicate flower. Second, these Lilies were absolutely pummeled in a heavy downpour. And third, they withstood the elements and became more beautiful than ever. That’s what we can do when life pummels us. We can take the onslaught and use it to transform us into stronger and more beautiful people.
It’s a New Year! Celebrate all the possibilities! Make each moment in life a Golden Moment. Yes, we sometimes get knocked down in life, punched in the gut. But the key is to get back up. Take a deep breath and believe you have not yet lived some of the best days of your life. Hold on. Hold on.
Closing
You better believe I’m excited for the New Year! And my wish for you is that you feel the same energy knowing, “ . . . some of the best days of our life haven’t even happened yet.”
