Welcome to the Red Barn Project Blog and Nature Photo Gallery. I’m indulging myself a bit with this site. It will be a platform upon which I can express random thoughts, explore the beauty of nature, the beauty of sunsets (spoiler alert!) and share stories behind the photographs I have published on my website, RedBarnProject.
I hope you find interest in this site and feel free to offer comments. Please be polite and positive.
Two days ago, I was sitting in my living room attempting to persuade WordPress to play nice. I had run into a ‘stumbler’ and was battling my way through to the finish line. I’m not a techie guru – more like a techie ‘dunno’. I was frustrated with my lack of progress to simply tame down the color scheme on this site when I noticed a glow entering the room from across my right shoulder. It was the setting sun. I had not seen a sunset such as this for a very long time. WordPress could wait.
Instantly my mind took me to places I have walked, my life journey, moments in life that gifted me with complete serenity. It was like smelling chocolate chip cookies baking. You know how a scent, or a sound, a song, or a sight can lift you up into that place where days past become vividly clear and all your senses are consumed by the moment? I was there.
The Beauty of Sunsets
If a typical sunset is the gentle melody from a single flute, this sunset was the Hallelujah Chorus! Beauty stirs my soul. I crave it and seek it out in anything I see. That probably explains some of my photos. They may seem bizarre by some measures but I see beauty in them.
An amazing image was captured of this glorious sunset! It is gorgeous. A moment in time and then it was gone. Regarding the image, no post-editing apart from a little cropping and removing some noise. It really couldn’t be improved on.
I have an image of this sunset for sale at my website, RedBarnProject. Additionally, there are several more fantastic sunsets to enjoy. Check them out!
Well, that’s all I have for now. I just wanted to provide a brief introduction to this new blog site. Now I can get back to fiddling with the site settings. One thing I can guarantee you is I will keep it simple!
Have a great day, all. In fact, make it the best day of your life! Peace.
